On 24.06.2023, Yekaterinburg hosted the Eurasia International Mixed Martial Arts Cup.
The International Mixed Martial Arts Cup of Eurasia has become a landmark event for all participants and spectators.
146 athletes from three countries took part in the competition: Russia, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. It was not only a day of competition, but also a day of unity, friendship and mutual respect between peoples.
The opening ceremony was attended by:
– Chairman of the Yekaterinburg City Duma; Master of Sports; nine-time World Champion in bench press; black belt holder in Aikido-Volodin Igor Valeryevich;
– President of the Union of Martial Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan; President of the Federation of Full-contact Universal Combat (Unifight) in Kostanay region, Republic of Kazakhstan; Master of Sports in Greco-Roman wrestling; Master of Sports of International class in Army hand-to-hand combat-Ruslan Zhumabayevich Seksembayev;
– Chairman of the Judging Panel of the Russian Mixed Combats Federation-Andrey Styazhkin;
– General Director of the Russian Mixed Combats Federation; Director of the International Federation GAMMAF — Makhnev Mikhail Sergeevich.
“Every year the number of young people choosing sports and a healthy lifestyle increases. This is the merit of parents and coaches who are able to inspire children.
But in sports, not only strength is important, but also tactics, the ability to anticipate the actions of the opponent. As part of today’s competitions, you will have to prove your right to be the strongest. I wish all participants of the competition victory in a fair fight, success on your way! ” – said in his solemn speech the Chairman of the Yekaterinburg City Duma Volodin Igor Valeryevich.
At the Eurasia International Mixed Martial Arts Cup, each athlete demonstrated incredible bravery and skill while fighting for victory. All participants performed at a high level, which indicates their readiness for strong competition and indicates new challenges and new victories in the coming season.
We would like to express our gratitude to all the athletes, coaches and judges for their excellent work and for what they do for the development of this wonderful sport. Without your participation, such an event would not have been possible.
