GAMMAF is taking its first steps in Kazakhstan. The first tournament brought together 150 fighters from 16 clubs, including Yekaterinburg and Nizhny Tagil. Mikhail Makhnev, President of the GAMMAF World Organization, came to the competition as an honorary guest, as well as a coach and auditor. In a solemn speech, he said that Ruslan Seksembayev, head of the Temirlan – Steel Lions Martial Arts Academy, was appointed to the post of President of GAMMAF of the Republic of Kazakhstan. By the way, multiple world champion Mikhail Makhnev came to the tournament with his son Viktor. As a result, he became the champion in the “Wrestling”section.
GAMMAF is a world MMA federation headquartered in the United States. The Federation is created to oversee and promote mixed martial arts around the world.
The fights were held on March 10 in the Astana Sports Complex. It is worth noting a considerable number of girls-participants. As Ruslan Seksembayev noted, this can be called a trend when girls choose full-contact types of martial arts. At the same time, their fights are sometimes more uncompromising than those of the guys.
So in the category of 15 years (55 kilograms) Alina Gimalutdinova won the belt (Pitbull club, coach Amir Bulatov). Albina Tleugabylova became the second (pictured). Almira Imekeeva is in third place. Both girls study at the Temirlan – Steel Lions Academy. A guest from Yekaterinburg, Maria Grebenyuk, won gold in the “Wrestling” section.
The Sarykol district club (coach Vladislav Barabash) became the first in the team competition. The second place was shared by the Academy of Martial Arts “Temirlan-Steel Lions” and BC “Druzhba” (coach Nursultan Tulepov). On the third place – the club “Sultan” (coaches Igor Bayer and Ilyas Tazhenov).
Seven belts were contested at the tournament. As a result, Ramis Idrisov was recognized as the best fighter. And his teammates Sayan Baimurzin and Zhaksybay Adlet won gold medals for their club “Altyn Arlan “(Kamysty). In general, a lot of awards went to rural martial arts clubs in our region. Kostanay fighter Sergey Pirko also won the belt of the champion (Kudo Federation, coach Azamat Olzhabayev).
This is GAMMAF’s first step in Kazakhstan. Now there is a discussion about holding the Asian Championship in our country.
